https://aslongaswebothshalllove.wordpress.com/ features Karen Dunak’s on-going musings about the intersecting worlds of Americans’ public and private lives. While much of her scholarly work to date has focused on weddings – the celebrations themselves and their depictions in broader media and culture – Dunak’s interests tend toward understandings of sex and gender, more broadly; expectations of romantic pairings, marriage, and parenthood; and the rise of modern celebrity culture. Dunak is an assistant professor of History at a small liberal arts university in SE Ohio. New York University Press published her first book As Long as We Both Shall Love in August 2013.
